NEW UVA+ and UVB+ Lamps

You can now achieve longer lamp life and higher irradiance in your QUV Accelerated Weathering Tester.

UVA-340+ Lamps:

  • Provide the best simulation of natural sunlight in the critical short wavelength ultraviolet light region that is responsible for most material degradation
  • Produce an identical spectrum to Q-Lab’s UVA-340 lamps for consistency of results.
  • Guaranteed to achieve at least 1500 hours at high irradiance (1.55 W/m2/nm) and 750 hours at maximum irradiance
    (1.70 W/m2/nm)
  • Deliver at least 8000 hours of use at normal irradiance
    (0.89 W/m2/nm)
  • Compatible with all existing CR10 and UC10 calibration equipment

UVB-313EL+ Lamps:

  • Provide enhanced shortwave UV light for faster weathering test results
  • Produce a nearly identical spectrum to Q-Lab’s UVA-313 EL lamps for consistency of results
  • Guaranteed to achieve at least 1500 hours at high irradiance (1.55 W/m2/nm) and 750 hours at maximum irradiance
    (1.70 W/m2/nm)
  • Deliver at least 8000 hours of use at normal irradiance
    (0.71 W/m2/nm)
  • Require a UC10 smart sensor and updated software for proper calibration

Test Brighter for Longer

Testing at high irradiance can be an effective way to achieve faster results from your accelerated weathering test program. Q-Lab’s new UVA-340+ and UVB-313EL+ fluorescent UV lamps enable you to perform high-irradiance testing with improved lamp life to get the most out of your QUV.

QUV Lamps from Q-Lab

UV light is responsible for almost all photodegradation of durable materials exposed outdoors. The QUV tester’s fluorescent lamps simulate the critical short-wave UV spectrum and reproduce the physical property caused by sunlight. Several different types of UV lamps are available for different applications, and optical filters are not required.

Q-Lab supplies the highest quality UV fluorescent lamps available. The technology behind the lamps produces a spectrum that is inherently stable throughout their use. Each manufacturing lot is required to pass a stringent series of tests before it is approved for sale. The result is that the QUV tester provides a consistent, stable spectrum, year after year.

The QUV Accelerated Weathering Tester

With thousands of testers in use worldwide, the QUV the world's most widely used weathering tester. It reproduces the damage caused by sunlight, rain and dew. In a few days or weeks, the QUV UV tester can reproduce the damage that occurs over months or years outdoors.

To simulate outdoor weathering, the QUV accelerated tester exposes materials to alternating cycles of UV light and moisture at controlled, elevated temperatures. It simulates the effects of sunlight using special fluorescent UV lamps. It simulates dew and rain with condensing humidity and/or water spray. The QUV accelerated weathering tester is the simplest, most reliable, and easiest to use weathering tester available.
