Part 3 of Q-Lab's 3-Part Webinar Series on Calibration and Standards

Lightfastness testing of textiles is critical to understanding how sunlight and heat will affect their strength and color retention over time. The most common test method in the world for testing the lightfastness of textiles is for xenon arc devices and is titled ISO 105-B02: Textiles — Tests for colour fastness — Part B02: Colour fastness to artificial light: Xenon arc fading lamp test.

This test protocol contains a number of unique requirements that can be challenging for new or even experienced users to understand.

In this webinar, Q-Lab's experts will explain key aspects of ISO 105-B02, including:

  • Blue wool reference materials
  • Test apparatus requirements and history
  • Meeting effective humidity requirements
  • Exposure conditions to simulate different service environments
  • Exposure methods to achieve different test goals
  • Evaluations and reporting
